Small stitches...

They are small things, stitches. One here, one there, one everywhere. They add up into hours, then months, then a life. And then all that remains is a box full of the softness of your days.

These are what I call "mood chips", basically felt circles stitched with the metaphor of my day. I don't make them everyday, but they are a great way to connect into myself, be present with my inner world and express it in a way that will appease me and bring me back into a feeling, regulated state. This is why I love textile. In all the overstimulation of our lives, it is a sure way to have at least one thing "land" during your day, if only because you will look at it and touch it for long enough.
